Sophie & Wyatt’s Seaside Engagement

If you’ve ever met a couple whose energy just fits,  like they were meant to find each other, that’s exactly how it feels to be around Sophie and Wyatt. Their love story started back in high school in 2021, thanks to a mutual friend and a little twist of fate. Sophie’s best friend had just moved to a new town, and Wyatt was the first to welcome her. That introduction would change everything. One conversation led to another, and before long, Sophie and Wyatt were inseparable.

Fast forward a few years, and the two have built a relationship full of laughter, shared adventures, and the kind of comfort that only comes from growing up together. When you see them together, it’s clear that their bond runs deep.

This past July, Wyatt took their love story to the next chapter with a proposal straight out of a summer daydream. Each year, his family heads to Cape Cod for their annual vacation, and this time, he had something extra special planned. He surprised Sophie with a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard, a place she’s always loved. Sophie told us she couldn’t wait to show him her favorite lighthouse in Edgartown.

When it came time for their engagement session, I was so excited to help them capture this new season of their story. Sophie and Wyatt have this beautiful blend of sweetness and ease between them, the kind that shines through effortlessly in photos. 

We chose a coastal-inspired setting that reflected their love for the ocean and their Cape Cod engagement, Harkness Memorial Park. The soft light, the wind in Sophie’s hair, and the way Wyatt looked at her, it all felt so genuine. There’s nothing quite like photographing a couple who is truly present with each other, and that’s exactly what these two are.

From a high school introduction to a seaside proposal, Sophie and Wyatt’s story is the kind that reminds you what love looks like when it’s simple, steady, and real. And if their engagement session was any indication, their wedding day is going to be nothing short of magic.
