Choosing the right outfit can make a huge difference in how your photos feel. I always recommend pieces that move beautifully, feel comfortable, and highlight your natural glow.

• Form fitting pieces: we know that oversized and flowy clothing can be tempting during pregnancy, however, they don’t always translate well in photos. Clothes that hug your curves and highlight your silhouette ensure that your bump is the star of the show.
  
• Soft, neutral tones: like creams, blush, sage, or dusty blue — keep the focus on you and your bump.
  
• Coordinate, don’t match: if your partner or children are joining, choose complementary colors and textures.
  
• Avoid bold logos or busy patterns that might distract from the emotion of the images.

What to Bring

Your maternity session should be easy and enjoyable — a time to relax and connect. Here are a few things I recommend bringing along:

• Touch-up essentials: lip balm, hairbrush, or water
  
• A sentimental item: maybe baby’s first outfit, shoes, ultrasound photo, or a blanket, for a few meaningful detail shots
• Outfits for mama. Be sure to pack complete outfits, undergarments, shoes, and accessories. Always be sure to double check that bag!
  
• Snacks for mama and especially if we’re including older siblings!
