How & Where
All portrait sessions are shot on location with natural light. We can shoot in the comfort of your own home or an outdoor location of your choice. While it is important to choose a time of the day that you or your child is happiest, keep in mind that for an outdoor session, early morning (just after sunrise) or late afternoon (2 hours before sunset) light is ideal. If we are shooting indoors, we will choose a room that has ample sunlight filtering through. Porches are always a great alternative because they offer us soft, open shade.

How far do you travel?
I am located in North Haven, CT. A fee of $.50 per mile will be added to locations beyond 15 miles.

Can I include my pet?
Of course! Pets are family too!

How long after the session can I expect to receive my photos?
Delivery times can vary depending on the time of year and size of the job, but 7-10 days is the standard. Of course, I always do my best to deliver your photos to you as soon as possible.

How do we book you?
If you are ready to book and would like to discuss the dates, please contact me via the contact page, email or at 203.415.1804. I can accept all forms of credit cards (3% service fee) via Paypal, cash, or by check payable to Nicole Mele.

Who has the rights to the images?
You have the rights to the images for personal use and Nicole Mele Photography maintains the rights to use the images for promotional purposes.

Where do you recommend getting our images printed?
I always recommend ordering prints directly with me. Alternatively, the print house I recommend that the general public can order from is Mpix, their quality is great. Places I DO NOT recommend: any print station located inside an actual store, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart or Shutterfly. These locations use cheap paper and their machines are not calibrated for correct color.

Can I make you a Pinterest board?
If you would like to make a Pinterest board, go for it! I recommend you limit it to 10-15 images of some of your favorite poses or photos that you have seen me take previously. Try not to pin photos based on their situations as we cannot always control where the sun will be and the surrounding areas. I cannot guarantee that all of those images will be captured but I will do my best!

Do you require a deposit?
For a standard photo shoot, no deposit is required. For a booking over $500, a 20% deposit and signed agreement is necessary to "save the date".
