The Coastline & Beyond

Sophisticated Shores & Timeless Light

There's something about the Connecticut shoreline that feels different. Maybe it's the way the light bounces off the water just before sunset, turning everything gold and rose. Maybe it's the salt air, the worn wooden boardwalks, the sound of gulls in the distance. As a Connecticut photographer, the shoreline is one of my favorite places to work — because the coast doesn't ask anyone to perform. It just lets you be.
From the rocky coves of Stonington and Old Lyme to the wide sandy beaches of Madison, Milford, and Fairfield, every shoreline town has its own personality.

The Beautiful, Unscripted Reality

Family sessions are designed to be a breath of fresh air in a world of 'perfect' social media grids. Instead of stiff poses and forced smiles, we lean into the messy, beautiful reality of your bond.

Whether we’re chasing adventurous toddlers through the tall grass of a Litchfield meadow or sharing a quiet, sun-drenched moment along the Connecticut shoreline, my goal is to capture the way your family feels, not just how you look

The Season of Waitin

There is a quiet, powerful beauty in the season of waiting. My maternity sessions are a tribute to the strength of your body and the soft anticipation of a new soul entering your world. We’ll find a secluded trail or a sun-drenched Connecticut field where you can simply breathe and connect with your growing baby.

These images aren't just about a bump; they’re a celebration of the love that started before you even met.

Soft Beginnings

Those first few weeks are a blurry, beautiful haze of tiny toes and soft sighs. Newborn sessions are slow, gentle, and entirely baby-led, capturing the delicate details you never want to forget. Whether in the comfort of your North Haven home or a soft-lit studio space,

I’m here to document the overwhelming sweetness of your newest addition and the tender ways your world has shifted to make room for them.

The Little Chapters

Before you know it, those quiet newborn days give way to bright belly laughs, wobbly first steps, and beautifully messy cake smashes. Milestone sessions are dedicated to celebrating the unscripted joy and unique personality of your rapidly growing child.

I’m here to freeze these fleeting, honest chapters so you can hold onto this exact stage forever.

Boldly Authentic

Senior year is a threshold, and your portraits should be as bold and unique as the future you’re stepping into. I don’t do 'standard' yearbook shots; I create editorial-inspired sessions that reflect who you truly are in this moment.

We’ll scout the perfect location that fits your vibe—from urban brick alleys to golden meadows—to craft images that feel authentic, confident, and entirely you.

My Favorite Spots Along the Coast

  • HAMMONASSET BEACH (MADISON) — The largest shoreline park in Connecticut, and one of my favorites.

  • HARKNESS MEMORIAL STATE PARK (WATERFORD) — Historic estate, manicured gardens, dramatic stone walls, and direct ocean access.

  • STONY CREEK & THE THIMBLE ISLANDS (BRANFORD) — Quiet, magical, and full of New England character.

  • PENFIELD BEACH (FAIRFIELD) — Classic coastal Connecticut. Beautiful compositional element, and the light at sunset is unreal.

  • GREENWICH POINT PARK / TOD'S POINT (GREENWICH) — Waterfront, meadow, and rocky coastline all in one location.

  • SAYBROOK POINT & FENWICK (OLD SAYBROOK) — Where the Connecticut River meets Long Island Sound.

After years of shooting along the Connecticut shoreline, I have my list of go-to spots — the ones with the best light, the most photogenic backdrops, and the kind of quiet beauty that makes for unforgettable photos.

What towns along the Connecticut shoreline do you photograph in?
I photograph clients all along Connecticut's coast — from Greenwich and Stamford in the west, through Fairfield, Bridgeport, Milford, and West Haven, into Branford, Guilford, Madison, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, and East Lyme, all the way to New London and beyond. If you have a favorite stretch of shoreline anywhere from Long Island Sound's western edge to the Rhode Island border, I'd love to meet you there. I also travel for destination sessions in Stonington, Groton, and Waterford.
Where are the best beaches in Connecticut for family photos?
Connecticut has so many beautiful coastal spots, and the right one depends on the look you want. For wide-open sandy beaches and dune grass, Hammonasset Beach in Madison is unbeatable — it's the largest shoreline park in the state. Penfield Beach in Fairfield is my go-to for classic golden hour family sessions. For a quieter, more rustic feel, I love Stony Creek in Branford and Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford. Greenwich Point Park (Tod's Point) is perfect if you want a mix of waterfront, meadow, and rocky coastline in one session.
What's the best time of day for a beach session along the Connecticut shoreline?
Always golden hour — about an hour before sunset. The light along Connecticut's coast turns this incredible warm, peachy-gold color that you simply can't replicate at any other time of day. For summer sessions, that usually means starting around 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Spring and fall sunsets happen earlier, so we'd plan for 4:30 to 6:00 PM. I also love early morning sessions — they're quieter, the light is soft and clean, and the beaches are nearly empty. Either way, we'll plan around the light.
What's the best season for shoreline photography in Connecticut?
Honestly, every season has its magic along the coast. Summer is the most popular — lush greenery, warm light, and that classic beach vacation feel. But fall might be my favorite. The marsh grass turns amber, the crowds disappear, and the light gets long and golden. Spring brings soft greens and a fresh, hopeful feel. Even winter has its quiet drama — empty beaches, dramatic skies, and a stillness that makes for stunning, moody portraits. There's no wrong season — just the one that fits your story.
Do you photograph weddings along the Connecticut shoreline?
Yes — coastal weddings are some of my favorites. From intimate beach ceremonies at Hammonasset and Old Saybrook, to elegant celebrations at waterfront venues in Greenwich, Westport, and Madison, the Connecticut shoreline offers some of the most beautiful wedding backdrops in New England. I bring the same relaxed, unscripted approach to coastal weddings as I do to every session — capturing the real moments, the salt air in your hair, and the way the light hits the water at sunset.
Is there a travel fee for shoreline sessions?
It depends on the location. Most central shoreline towns — Branford, Guilford, Madison, East Haven, West Haven, Milford — are within my no-travel-fee radius from my North Haven studio. For sessions further out (Greenwich, Stamford, Stonington, Old Lyme), there's a small travel fee that's always disclosed upfront in your quote. For weddings or full-day sessions, travel is typically built into the package. No surprises — just honest pricing.
