When should I book?
For fall sessions, especially during peak foliage, I recommend booking about two to three months in advance as those dates tend to fill quickly. For spring and summer, one to two months in advance is usually perfect. If you have a specific date in mind, it is always best to reach out early to ensure availability.
How long does a session last?
Family sessions typically last between 30 and 60 minutes, allowing time for everyone to settle in and feel at ease. I follow the natural rhythm of your family so nothing feels rushed, while still keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable for little ones.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place at a beautiful outdoor location anywhere in Connecticut, such as a park, field, or shoreline, or in the comfort of your own home for a more intimate lifestyle feel. I will help guide you in choosing a location that best reflects your family and the overall look you love.
What should we wear?
I provide a thoughtful styling guide after booking and will help you choose outfits that feel cohesive, comfortable, and true to your family. The goal is for everything to come together naturally while still feeling effortless and like you.
What if my kids won't sit still?
That is exactly how it should be. I expect kids to move, play, and be themselves. My sessions are relaxed and guided in a way that allows for real moments to unfold naturally, capturing genuine connection rather than forced smiles.
What happens after I inquire?
Once you reach out, I will connect with you to learn more about your family and what you are envisioning. From there, we will plan your session together, including location, styling, and timing, so everything feels easy and fully prepared leading into your session.
What if the weather does not cooperate?
If the weather is not ideal, we will simply reschedule. I always keep a close eye on conditions leading up to your session to ensure we have the best possible experience and light.
Do you help with posing?
Yes, absolutely. I will guide you throughout the entire session so you always feel comfortable and confident, while still allowing space for natural interaction and genuine moments.
